Free NJ ASSP Construction OSHA 10

Crum & Forster will be hosting a FREE, in‑person Construction OSHA 10 course at their Morristown facility on May 12th and May 13th. The training will run over two days, and participants must attend both sessions. Additional details will be shared soon.

You should take the OSHA 10 Construction course to learn essential job site safety, meet employer or state hiring requirements, and make your resume more competitive for trade and EHS jobs.

Job Requirements and Access

1. Mandatory site access: Many general contractors, project owners, and unions require an OSHA 10 card before letting you step onto a commercial or public works job site.
2. State laws: Several states and local municipalities legally require entry-level construction workers to hold this credential.
3. Better hiring potential: Having your official Department of Labor (DOL) card ready shows employers you are serious, trained, and immediately ready to work safely.

Practical Safety Knowledge

1. The “Focus Four” hazards: The course teaches you how to spot and avoid the four biggest killers on construction sites: falls, electrocution, struck-by objects, and caught-in/between incidents.
2. Worker rights: You learn what safety equipment (PPE) your employer must provide and how to report unsafe working conditions legally.
3. Lifelong credential: The training takes about 10 hours to complete, and your official completion card never expires.
